As a registered Reprocessor we possess all the required facilities for Collection, Reception, Treatment, Storage, and Transportation of all types of Printer Cartridges. We have our own Cartridge Recycling Plant where refilling/ remanufacturing will be carried out. Printer Cartridge recycling Unit @ Samarthanam was established to bring high quality compatible toner cartridges to the market place, compatible with all major products.
The revenue of the generated waste is utilized for supporting the disabled children of Samarthanam Trust in service for the disabled and underprivileged. This activity also helps us in empowering disabled friends by providing employment opportunities.
Samarthanam Trust for the Disabled has been working since 1997 to empower the visually impaired, disabled and underprivileged people in India. Samarthanam support the visually impaired, disabled and underprivileged to keep in pace with the rest of the society by providing quality education, accommodation, nutritious food, vocational training, placement based rehabilitation and achieve personal independence.
The Environment:
Most printer cartridges can be recycled, refilled or reloaded, few good reasons to recycle printer cartridges:
• • More than 3.4 liters (3/4 gallon) of oil are needed to make one new laser cartridge.
• • In just 12 months, cartridge recycling could save 4.3 million liters of oil in a country of 22 million people.
• • Laser printer cartridges account for over 90% of all throw-away cartridges.
• • A laser cartridge thrown into landfill can take up to 450 years to decompose.
• • Cartridges are made out of plastic. Plastic is a petroleum-based product and takes about 1,000 years to decompose.

Recycle for Charity Program:
The recycle for charity program is open to any Individual and business organization wish to donate the empty Cartridges and help support for charity.
The funds Generated from Cartridges will be used:
1. To Promote primary and higher education for the visually impaired, disabled & under privileged people.
2. To reduce malnutrition related disability through nutritional supplement.
3. To establish and execute community based rehabilitation centers for special target group like
destitute women and neglected children.
4. To promote the disabled and underprivileged with providing employment opportunities & support their financial self reliance.
